With reference to your letter No.7463 dated the 28th November, regarding the proposed arrangements for the
proportionate payment out of the surplus assets of the Calcutta
ong Kong and Jingapore branches of the Doutache-isiatische
Bank of debts due from other branches of that bank to the British establishment of the Jisconto-Gesellschaft, i es directed by
the secretary of State for India in Council to say that payment
of the total amount in question will be made by this office,
as from the surplus assets of the Calcutta branch, if the Controlle
in the winding up of the Diaconto-Gesellschaft will furnish
an account completed up to a date at which it is sent to this
office.
Arrangements will thus be made through the Colonial Office for the recovery of the due proportions from the surplus assets of the Hong Kong and Singapore branches:
